Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Welcome to Lyra Music. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy will inform you as to how we look after your personal data when you visit our website or use our mobile application and tell you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
2. Data We Collect
We adhere to a strict "privacy-first" approach. We collect only the minimal amount of data necessary to provide our services:
- Usage Data: Anonymous metrics about how you interact with the app (e.g., songs played, features used) to help us improve performance.
- Device Information: Model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for troubleshooting and compatibility.
- Local Library: We access your local music library only to play files stored on your device. This data is processed locally and never uploaded to our servers.
3. How We Use Your Data
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We use your data solely to:
- Provide and maintain the Service.
- Notify you about changes to our Service.
- Provide customer support.
- Monitor the usage of the Service to detect, prevent and address technical issues.
4. Third-Party Cloud Services
Lyra allows you to import audio and video files from third-party cloud storage services, including Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox.
Google Drive
- Data Access: When you connect your Google Drive account, Lyra requests read-only access to browse and download files you select for import. We use the
drive.readonlyscope to let you navigate your folders and choose files. - Data Retention: Files you import from Google Drive are downloaded directly to your device. We do not store your Google Drive files on our servers. Your Google account credentials and access tokens are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.
- Data Deletion: You can disconnect your Google Drive account at any time from Settings → Cloud Accounts → Disconnect. This revokes Lyra's access to your Google Drive. You can also revoke access directly from your Google Account permissions.
Lyra's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Data Security
The security of your data is important to us, but remember that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
